Privacy Policy
Plain English, no small print. Last updated June 2026.
The short version
You can use Stop Dithering without an account. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and you can ask us to delete anything at any time. Stop Dithering is responsible for your data (the “data controller”).
Saved on your device
Your decision history, favourites, custom wheels, custom options, sound settings and game streaks are stored in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and you can wipe them by clearing your browser data.
If you create an account (optional)
We store your email address, a securely hashed password, and the history, favourites and wheels you choose to sync, so they follow you across devices. We use your email only to sign you in — no newsletters unless you ask.
Group decisions and Last Man Standing
When you join a group vote or a Last Man Standing competition, we store the name you enter, your votes or picks, and a random device ID so we can recognise you. Your name and picks are visible to other people in that group or competition. Competition data is kept so the game can run and is deleted on request.
Contact messages
If you use the contact form, we keep your name, email and message so we can reply. Nothing else is done with them.
Visit statistics
We count page visits and which website or search engine sent you here, using a random session ID — no names or email addresses. This helps us see which pages are useful.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies (such as _ga) to measure how the site is used in aggregate. If you sign in, we set a login cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site still works.
Who we share data with
Google (for Analytics) and our hosting provider, only so the site can run. We never sell or rent your data.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or object to how it's used. Just email us and we'll sort it within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
